Last night, a friend and I went out for drinks. As girls sometimes do, we were counting calories, so we ordered skinny margaritas (I’m rolling my eyes at myself). I realized (in the middle of judging myself for trying to squeeze in a restaurant margarita as part of my allotted calories) I could easily make a skinny margarita at home but without the fillers or pre-made mixers, so that’s what I did.
- 2 oz. Reposado (a tequila that has been aged in oak)
- 1 oz. fresh lime juice
- 1.5 tbsp. agave nectar (2 tbsp. for more sweetness)
- a sprinkle of large sea salt
- Combine the first 3 ingredients in a shaker and shake. Pour into glass and sprinkle large sea salt on top or rim glass with salt.
