So, can I tell you how much most of our family missed snow? I say most because Conner, the brown dog, is too much of a little prince to enjoy the snow. I have basically provided a world where he doesn’t do anything he doesn’t want to do (I’m not proud, but I make no excuses, he is my baby). Unfortunately for him, his sister Ella (who is the Queen and rules her and our lives) LOVES the snow, so we knew as soon as it actually snowed enough in Chicago we would be dragging the prince out with us. While Ella posed for photos, rolled around in the snow, and frolicked/pulled us through our first snow in Chicago, Conner refused to enjoy himself. I’m fairly positive he thought he had done something wrong and that this was his punishment (you can see in the one photo where he had totally refused to face forward. He was knee dip in a pity party).

Although our little brown bear was miserable, our sweet freckled face pup was in her element. When we had a backyard and it snowed (and when I say snowed, I mean the 3 times it dusted enough to call it “snowing” in Texas), Ella would run outside and refuse to come in until we all come outside and played for a little. Naturally, Conner would be outside just trying to do his business and get inside as fast as possible, but Ella would guard the door and force him back to the yard. Needless to say, knowing that we have officially awakened the snow season here in Chicago, we are so excited (and Conner is getting booties, equally exciting)! Some of our favorite memories are around snow (while living in NC), the pups, and freezing our tails off. So bring it on Chicago, we didn’t stock up on winter gear for nothing!
