We have visited California a couple handful of times and what’s amazing is you can always find something new to do. We had never seen the Muir Woods, so we started our Saturday by heading there as part of a half day tour.
These trees are giant. Before you’re all like, no duh Captain obvious, if you’ve never seen these trees while standing in the middle of a whole family of them, you must. It’s one of those things where you are overtaken with the feeling of being small in a world full of such magnificent things, but in a really magical way. On this tour, you only have a couple hours here, so not too long to go on a long hike, but we would definitely go back and take a long hike through the forest. It’s pretty amazing.
Around lunch, our tour bus took us out to Sausalito, an adorable water front town. We decided to ferry back to San Fran from there, so we were able to leisurely stroll through the quaint town. Naturally, because we had gone almost a whole 3 hours without wine, we decided to go to lunch and grab some margaritas.
I can almost taste it. After lunch, we decided to take a long, breezy stroll.
What a fun city with lots of cute little shops and a low key vibe. This tour is definitely a must do (who doesn’t like a quick hike with reward margaritas after).
Next up on California week, San Fran favorites (and shocking, favorite drinking spots).
