Happy Monday! What better way to start the week than coming off of a fresh face lift over the weekend? (not me, just the blog, I’m not there yet you guys). In an attempt to stream line the blog a little more, I thought she could use a little pick me up (and now she’s asking for a tummy tuck next month). She’s definitely looking lighter and rejuvenated, which was the goal.  I’m hoping to simplify the overall feel, so strap in, it might get a little bumpy before it gets a little more zen.

On another note, the hubby and I took our niece, Emma (my best girl friend’s oldest daughter) strawberry picking. This was her first time and she had a blast (she’s already planning on us taking her for blueberries next). As we worked through what healthy, ripe strawberries looked like, we also learned how awesome it is to pick the rotten ones to throw out in the fields “for the birds” (she would launch rotten strawberries over the fence, it was pretty amazing. Her little arm was like a catapult, she could’ve fed birds in space with some of those). We picked 2 buckets worth and immediately started making a dent in our supply while visiting with the wild life on the farm while sipping fresh lemonade and sharing a slice of pound cake.

According to Emma, we both wore our princess shirts, so we both obviously knew it was going to be a “princess” worthy day. While we were driving her back home, she told us how much fun she had. She has no idea how much more we enjoyed the day with her!
