The best way to spread Christmas cheer, is to leave your decorations up all year. Just Kidding (sort of)!! But for real, I had the entire house decorated for Christmas before Thanksgiving and guess what, I have no shame. If I’m being REALLY honest, I had Madeline’s tree up at the beginning of November. We are talking first baby Christmas tree in her precious little nursery, so I mean, I think it’s a given that I popped that puppy up the minute I could. I have absolutely had the thought pass through of how I could turn that tree into just an overall “holiday” tree and just decorate with different holiday themes, but that is for real why people can’t have nice things. Someone ruins it for everyone, so with the option to not be that person, we will just settle for early November and take it down after Christmas (I’m not crying, the sun got in my eye).

I do love Christmas and am so excited to be able to celebrate Madeline’s first one! Although she literally has no clue what all this stuff is, she is at least super excited to try to rip it all down, but there is excitement, so I’ll take it anyway I can get it. We’ve definitely already watched Home Alone, The Grinch, and Frosty. I know she can’t even follow the story lines, but it’s exciting to start traditions with her that she will continue to grow into and love. Elf is up on the docket soon (my favorite) and trying not to let her play with her presents is right behind that (wish me luck). If we get a true Christmas miracle, these teeth that are cutting through will be in and we can get some Christmas sleep here soon (oof!)

Let the holiday festivities commence! (or continue in my case).
