I had to add this picture because Fred has such a fun personality. The side eye was intense and I loved it.

  • his story: Emily, Fred’s mom, had wanted a dog for years but the timing was never right for one until this past May. Emily’s landlord had called to chat about something else and she just blurted out, “can I have a dog here?,” and it felt like before he said yes, she was out the door to find her perfect pup. She had found an adorable dachshund for rescue and went to adopt him, but he was gone..enter Fred. Fred, with his suave and debonair ways locked eyes with Emily and it was all over from there. Fred hopped in her lap and they have been soul mates ever since.
  • favorite treat: he loves sliced cheese (usually paired properly with a savory wine as he peruses the local paper)
  • favorite toy: his squeaky duck. He is more of a cuddler than he is a player, so the duck is more of a pillow than anything. (Fred told me he is a little too sophisticated for that kind of juvenile behavior)
  • favorite activity: socializing with his kind, people of course. He is also wonderful with other dogs. He loves a delightful afternoon nap followed by a very sophisticated walk.

Note: This is my friend Emily’s dog and if you met Fred, you would have the strong urge to steal him (I tried to shove him in my bag). He is the sweetest, cutest, most well-behaved pup..and sophisticated, obviously. I’m so glad Fred found his forever home that is filled with such love and adoration for Fred, he deserves it (and Emily deserves a beautiful pup like Fred).
